a bit about me.

Why I do this work.

I spent a lot of years trying to figure everything out on my own. Sometimes that worked. Sometimes it cost me time, opportunities, and a whole lot of unnecessary circling.

I’m still a big believer in self-reliance, and value growing self-trust.  But I’ve learned that the right conversation with the right person can shift your perspective in ways that are hard to reach when you’re inside the situation yourself.  Sometimes you don’t need someone to tell you what to do. You need someone who can ask the question that helps you see something you couldn’t see five minutes earlier.

That’s the kind of space I try to create for people now.

More about my background and why we might fit.

I’ve been coaching for years, and I’ve backed that experience with formal training. I completed my coach training through the Life Purpose Institute, an ICF-accredited program, and I’m also a certified consulting hypnotist and NLP practitioner, and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Before coaching, I spent three decades in a career built around judgment, precision, and high-stakes decisions, while also navigating marriage, motherhood, relationships, career changes, and all the different stages that come with a full life.

I also understand that some of my experiences happened in a different time. The world changes. The pressures change. The way we work, date, communicate, raise families, and build our lives changes. But so much of what happens underneath it all doesn’t. We still question ourselves. We still worry about making the wrong choice. We still want to feel understood, loved, confident, and certain about where we’re going.

That’s one of the reasons I enjoy working with people of different ages and at different stages of life. The circumstances may look different, but I’m often surprised by how much we recognize in one another. All of that experience has trained me to listen closely, ask good questions, and notice what might be getting missed.

I’m curious by nature, a little unconventional, and usually more interested in the question underneath the question.  I utilize some less conventional tools too, including hypnosis and a few esoteric approaches. Sometimes they reveal surprisingly useful insights that allow for amazing aha moments.

I'm also the founder of Everyday Soul®, where I write about identity, relationships, uncertainty, and the complicated business of being human. The link to the blog in in the navigation bar or can be found here.

If you’re in one of those moments where you can’t quite see your way forward, you’re welcome to reach out for a free call. We can talk it through and see if I’m the right person to help.

Warmly,
